When I think of summer… one of the sweet thoughts that pops into my mind are these yummy lemon bars.
With a perfect balance of sweet and tangy these little deserts are a fun treat for most any gathering. They make a great addition to a dessert bar, or can “stand on their own feet “

When I need a fairly quick dessert, Because of the basic ingredients, I often turn to these yummy lemon treats and they’re always a hit!
To make Lemon Bars you will need:
9×13 baking pan – find my favorite set here
Large mixing bowl
Whisk
Ingredients for lemon bars
All purpose Flour
Powdered sugar
Butter
Eggs
Granulated sugar
Lemon juice (I like to squeeze fresh but bottled is fine)
Baking powder
Lemon Bars Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 1/4 Cups all purpose flour, divided.
- 1/2 Cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 4 Large Eggs
- 2 Cups granulated sugar
- 1/3 Cup Lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- powdered sugar for sprinkling
Directions
- Combine 2 cups flour and 1/2 cup powdered sugar.
- Cut butter into flour mixture until crumbly.
- Firmly press crumbly mixture into lightly greased 9×13 baking dish.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes.
- Whisk eggs in large bowl. Whisk in 2 cups sugar and lemon juice.
- Combine remaining 1/4 flour and baking powder together. Whisk into egg mixture.
- Pour mixture over crust.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes or until set.
- Let cool completely.
- Cut into bars and dust with powdered sugar.
